I love the last-minute texts, Get your gear ready, be there in 30! Nothing beats an impromptu adventure. Today’s was a cross-country mountain bike spin through Quincy’s Ancient Lakes trail system.

The weather was oh-so perfect, like an early spring day, and with the mostly dry soil conditions, it was too good not to dust off the mountain bikes.

I’m on a new (to me) 2019 Santa Cruz Bronson purchased over the winter. This was the bike’s inaugural ride. She’s purty.

Strava said 9.44 miles over just shy of 2 hours. Lots of way-finding in the low scrub brush. Tons of rocks. A bit of hike-a-bike. Great morning!
