Hello, my name is David.

I am a Leavenworth, Washington-based adventurer. Along with my wife, Hannah, and daughter, Abigail, we love to hike, camp, climb, snowboard, bike, SUP and generally live as much life as possible out of doors. The acquisition (and subsequent modification) of a Sprinter van in late 2018 has upped our game considerably.

My wife and I both work, but we find time in the afternoons / evenings / weekends to escape to the outdoors, even on micro-adventures from our house for a mountain bike lap, SUP session, or into town for brew or a bite.

I’m a project-oriented individual and love organization and consolidation. The end of every adventure means reviewing my packing list and gear assortment for optimization or a “better way to plan, pack and pull off” the next trip. Thankfully, Hannah enjoys these same things (to some degree) so the eye-rolling is minimal. Though I certainly realize I can go overboard!

The Garage

To that end, I’ve launched the NWXPDTN “Garage.” Having a shop and project workspace at our house, I feel I can finally put my planning, design, automotive, carpentry, and electrical skills to work for you. This is not a business — I’m not trying to survive by doing this — but a way to provide a service to people in the overland and adventure community. I am just as jazzed about getting your vehicle ready or modified for your next adventure as you are.

Photobag

Photography is the adhesive that combines all my other hobbies and interests. Here’s what I’m shooting and editing with these days:

Fujifilm X-T3 | Fujifilm X100V | Fujinon 16mm f/1.4 | Fujinon 35mm f/1.4 | B+W filters

See you out there!
