Expeditions
2024
Moab Fever
They said it couldn’t be done: a 9-day roadtrip to the southwestern desert with a toddler.
2021
Moab Mecca
Hannah, pregnant with our baby girl, and I joined forces with my brother Drew in Canyonlands and Moab area for a quick mountain biking and hiking getaway. It was a fun-filled couple days of a lot of biking…
2020
Sayulita, Mexico
I love Mexico. Always have, always will. I spent the summer of 2006 living in a tent just across the border in Tijuana and Tecate and have visited many different parts of Central America and have always had a great time.
2017
Banff Loop
My girlfriend (now wife!), Hannah, and I thought maybe the best way to spend a week in July was by touring up past Whistler, BC over to Banff. It was a fantastic trip.
Reutah Tour
Scott (my cousin) and I always intended on going back to Utah. In 2017, the opportunity presented itself again for a slightly shorter trip. This time, we’d swing out east to Fruita, Colorado first, then dip down into Moab and hit up Canyonlands.
2016
Eastern Sierras Turkey Trot
Titus and I headed back down to CA for some needed desert air and sunshine. Escaping the PNW in the rainy/drizzle season is mandatory and this trip checked a lot of boxes.
CAOR 16
One of my favorite loops, this expedition had it all: Yosemite, Eastern Sierras, Tahoe, Bend.
Uganda
This was a great trip with my roommates, Chris and Dave, to Africa to help a school and village upgrade their electrical and water systems.
2015
Coast Run-oh-One
My youngest brother, Drew, picked up a Toyota 4Runner and was excited to get into the overlanding scene. Titus and I loaded up and headed south for some camping and offroading.
Montana + Wyoming
Hitting my stride as an overlander, this trip brought my folks, my uncle Bruce and cousin Scott together in Glacier National Park and then down into the Tetons in early fall.
Canada: Banff + Waterton Lakes
My dog Titus and I picked up my dad and we adventured up to Banff and then down to Waterton Lakes in Canada on a week long adventure.
Utah: The Mighty Five
The one that started it all. This expedition across Southern Utah’s “Mighty Five” national parks with my cousin Scott Stedman was formative in my love of camping and adventure.
2014
Lake Powell
My Uncle Bruce, Aunt Susan and cousin Scott invited me and some other of their friends along on a week+ long houseboating/camping trip on Lake Powell.
